Digital India is a
blockbuster three-pronged programme for empowerment of masses launched on
July1,2015 by prime minister Mr:Narendra Modi. This launch has been a great hit
with common people as well as the top companies. It is likely to generate 18

electronically and to increase digital literacy.
It is considered by all as a
dream project of Mr. Modi, as he wants to take a larger initiative to digitally
empower people and extend services in a better manner with the use of
Information Technology and its tools. Mr. Modi said that the “Digital India”
campaign would see an investment of Rs.4.5 lakh crore and jobs for at least 18

Will WOMEN EMPOWERMENT Help in Reducing Violence Against Women?
Empowerment in terms of Amartya Sen is capacity and capability building. Empowerment today is more than ideology. It is an act of accomplishment. It is the mode of achieving that accomplishment. However in a country like India divide on class line, caste lines and gender lines, this achievement seems to be a distant dream.
Women empowerment has been subject to a wide range of debates form the beginning of scholastic interpretation of society. However, a conclusion to such long ranging debate is yet to be finalized.
Women in India are subjected to several nuances in our society that are seemed to be actions against women dignity. India has been a agricultural society from the beginning and in a agricultural society, the male is expected to do all the "heavy" work, form cultivating crops to selling them into the market. While women were simply subjected to taking care of the house and children. If time permits then they were even allowed to gather firewood and fruits.
Gradually with time this difference between man and woman became more objectified and defined. Now women were isolated into the four walls of the house while men were beginning to take control of woman's lives. These features are prevalent more in agricultural societies and hence in areas like punjab and uttar pradesh the sex ratio and literacy ratio is always the lowest.
However, today is not yesterday. women have started to come to the fore and take equal steps with men when it comes to ability. However the society still treats them in a disassociated manner.
Ranging from bollywood to an MNC, women are paid less than men.
With rising amount of violence against women, the dignity of women is at stake.

Even with government going pro-women and shelling out both money and schemes to change the mindset of people (beti bachao, beti padhao), there is still a long way to go to capture the imagination of the people.
How the GLOBALIZATION and LIBERALIZATION of the financial sector has affected common man in India
The Globalization and Liberalization have opened India's Economy and shifted it towards Capitalism like never before. It resulted in the growth of Indian Economy, reduction of Poverty, Improved Public Health etc. The Impacts of Globalization and Liberalization in the financial sector on common men are ---
--The opening of new banks and increased penetration in Rural areas covered people in the Banking net.
--The schemes like PMJDY and the FDI in Insurance sector have ensured financial inclusion of Common Man and the subsequent transfer of Subsidies and benefits from govt. into their bank accounts has made the benefits to reach the beneficiaries without delay and deterioration of money.
--The savings of Bank accounts, provident fund accounts etc. were invested in the Money Markets resulting in common men earning better than in savings accounts.
--The increased production and availability of credit made people acquire more materials and more indebted.
--The investment options became available for all classes of the society viz Rich, Middle and Poor.

Remembering Dr:Abdul Kalam
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was an Indian scientist and politician who served his country as president from 2002 to 2007.A lifelong scientist who studied physics and aerospace engineering. Kalam's prominent role in India's 1998 nuclear weapons tests established him as a national hero.In order to perpetuate his ideas and aspirations among young people and for the development of our country, I feel that it is necessary to introduce a course on his biography in the school syllabus. Instituting awards in his name, for perpetuating excellence in science and technology in institutes of higher learning will also be a real tribute to him instead of meaningless adulation on his anniversary.
